IP Access Control
IP Access Control is a suite of technologies which allows controlled access to doors throughout your organization. NIC Partners combines these technologies onto your existing IP network to allow you unparalleled control of your physical environment. We’re specialists at providing turn-key solutions for Access Control, allowing you to focus on your business.
Electronic Door Hardware
In order to control access to any door in your facility, the first step is to define which doors will be electronically controlled. Electronic door hardware must be installed prior to any network technologies being implemented. NIC Partners teams up with door specialists who understand how doors can be modified appropriately. Our Access Control Project Managers manage complex door schedules for both existing and green-field installations. Many electronic door hardware options are available. We can help you evaluate choices based on cosmetic needs, electric access, cost and complexity. NIC Partners can also provide wireless lock technologies for many types of doors allowing simplified installation.
Authentication Solutions
After the door is fitted with an electronic locking mechanism, organizations must consider what type of authentication will be used to lock/unlock the door. For many customers, a Proximity Card, which uses a sensor embedded in a plastic card which authenticates with a badge reader near the door. These Proximity cards can be multi-purposed as ID cards via a card printer. Other authentication methods include: keypad/key-codes, magnetic strip cards/readers, and biometric readers. NIC Partners offer biometric readers like fingerprint readers, iris scanners, retinal scanners and video face recognition solutions. Now that we’ve got the door setup with electronic locks and authentication solutions in place, it’s time to tie everything together with an integrated IP control system.
