They can answer incoming calls on the desk phone or mobile phone, pick up calls between the desk phone and mobile phone without losing the connection, and originate enterprise calls from a mobile or other remote phone.
Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) is a unique feature set embedded in the software running on Cisco routers. It takes advantage of a remote office’s existing network to provide call-processing redundancy for centralized CUCM deployments for up to 1200 users per site if the office’s or the teleworker’s home WAN connection is lost. SRST provides network resiliency through redundant, localized call processing as well as intelligent and automatic failover configuration without manual IT or telecom intervention.

For smaller organizations (30-250 users) or branches, Cisco offers Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME). This solution provides powerful call processing for Cisco IP Phones as part of a converged voice and data solution empowered by a Cisco router. This means that your organization can have the advanced communications capabilities they need to better compete in today’s market. CUCME features: Low cost entry, comprehensive feature sets, integration with CRM, increased employee productivity, user-specified call handling, easy installation and changes and industry-leading investment protection.
